Individual Responsibility

Dear Republican Party,

Before any serious discussion begins or actions are taken we must agree on who’s responsible. The future of the Republican Party does not rest on one generation and not the other. We must work together. For the brightest today and tomorrow we need everyone. However, change ultimately begins with us, with individuals.

Our failure or success as a party hinges on whether or not we will take individual responsibility for our collective cause.

Individually our impact is limited. Together it is limitless. We must decide to take responsibility for the future, first as individuals and then as a party. Like America, the Republican Party does not consist of one exclusive group. No, we are a party with many different faces, different ages and different backgrounds. We are brought together under the umbrella of the Republican Party. As individuals we have decided that the Republican Party most closely represents what we value and believe. The cause of the Republican Party is what unites us. People make decisions, cause change and write history. You make decisions. You cause change. You write history.

When we take active responsibility for influencing the sphere around us personally, we will be more effective as a party. After all, aren’t we the party that historically champions individual responsibility?

For our cause and country,

A Young Republican
